Quick response times depend on reliable voice communication systems that ensure a rapid connection with help in an emergency.
NetModule’s mobile network routers, certified for public transport (UN ECE R10/EN 50155), can serve as GSM VoIP (Voice over IP) gateways, enabling telephony via the internet. For example, driver can make requests to the control center or emergency calls directly from the vehicle.
VoIP allows functional telephone numbers to be assigned. Group calls can also be made, or the control center can make direct PA announcements on a train.
In case of danger, passengers can request help via a push-to-talk emergency calling station and be connected to the responsible persons within seconds. The routers’ integrated GNSS modules lets the service staff quickly determine the location from which an emergency call is made.
The routers can be equipped with several mobile modems whose channels can be bundled to maximize availability. With their numerous other interfaces, such as audio, Ethernet, or CAN (Controller Area Network), the devices can be integrated into existing solutions.
Routers can be maintained and monitored using NetModule’s Connectivity Suite management platform. It is web-based and manages your routers from a central location.
